ONG Papers to be Presented at European Conference on Optical Communications
Dr Robert Maher will give an invited paper on "Fast Wavelength Switching Transceivers for Bandwidth on Demand Based Coherent Optical Networks".
Two other oral presentations will be given: visiting researcher Masaki Sato will speak on "Frequency Diversity MIMO Detection for Dual-Carrier DP-16QAM Transmission", and PhD student Sezer Erkilinon "Effect of Clipping on the Performance of Nyquist-Shaped Dispersion-Precompensated Subcarrier Modulation Transmission with Direct Detection".
Three ONG posters will also be presented:
Lidia Galdino: "Unrepeatered Transmission over 253.4 km Ultra Low Loss Fibre Achieving 6.95 (b/s)/Hz SE using EDFA-only Pre-amplifier"
Maria Ionescu: ""In-Band OSNR Estimation for Nyquist WDM Superchannels"
Robert Maher: "Nonlinear Impairment Mitigation in a Nyquist Spaced 16QAM WDM Transmission System with Multi-Channel DBP"
ECOC is the largest optical communication conference in Europe. The 2014 conference is being held Cannes, France, from 21st - 25th September 2014.
