Maria Ionescu


Maria Ionescu was born in Târgovişte, Romania, in 1988. She received her BEng in Electronic Engineering with Computer Science from UCL in 2010. She is currently working towards her PhD with the Optical Networks Group, in Digital Signal Processing for Sensing in Software Defined Optical Networks.


Research Interests

Optical performance monitoring, coherent optical communication, digital signal processing, nonlinear optics, estimation theory.
