Prof. Polina Bayvel, head of ONG named among top ten women in communications/networking we should all know

Polina Bayvel was selected among "10 women in networking/communications that we should know" for her research contributions in the field of optical networks.

Head of the UCL Optical Networks GroupProfessor Polina Bayvel who has been announced as one of 10 women on the inaugural list of "10 Women in Networking/Communications that you should know" produced by the IEEE supported Networking Networking Women (N2Women), a discipline-specific community for researchers in the communications and networking research fields. The main goal of N2Women is to foster connections among the under-represented women in computer networking and related research fields. Over 150 people around the world submitted nominations for this list, and many of these people submitted several names. These nominations created a very impressive list of approximately 140 women in the networking/communications fields. The women nominated amaze us and inspire us.

N2Women is an ACM SIGMOBILE program that is supported by the IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Computer Society (CS) Technical Committee on Computer Communications (TCCC), Microsoft Research, HP Labs, and Google Research.
