10 Women in Networking/Communications that you should know

Professor Polina Bayvel included on prestigious list

Congratulations to the Head of the UCL Optical Networks Group, Professor Polina Bayvel who has been announced as one of 10 women on the inaugural list of "10 Women in Networking/Communications that you should know" produced by the IEEE supported Networking Networking Women (N2 Women), a discipline-specific community for researchers in the communications and networking research fields. The main goal of N2 Women is to foster connections among the under-represented women in computer networking and related research fields. Over 150 people around the world submitted nominations for this list, and many of these people submitted several names. These nominations created a very impressive list of approximately 140 women in the networking/communications fields. The women nominated amaze us and inspire us.

N2 Women is an ACM SIGMOBILE program that is supported by the IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Computer Society (CS) Technical Committee on Computer Communications (TCCC), Microsoft Research, HP Labs, and Google Research.
