Spectroscopy on SOHO Radio

Dr Robert Thompson appears on the Science Mixtape Show

Dr Robert Thompson, Research Fellow here in the department and in the London Centre for Nanotechnology, will be appearing on this week’s episode of Science Mixtape on SOHO radio.

The weekly SOHO radio show follows a desert island disks format with a science twist. It explores the science and songs of a different expert guest each week bringing you a mix of science news, brainteasers and live ON AIR experiments, plus the songs scientists love and why.

Rob will be talking about his work on spectroscopy, he will explore the very varied world of optical spectroscopy as well as discussing his work on electronic materials for the future of flexible electronics. Rob will also be telling you how to create your own spectrometer at home using an old CD and a cereal box.
