Dr Mahdi Sharifzadeh is a lecturer at the Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering, University College London. Before this, he was a research associate at the Centre for Process Systems Engineering (CPSE), Imperial College, where he also conducted his PhD studies. Mahdi specializes in Control Systems Engineering, and has interests in Energy and Environmental applications. He is endorsed by the Royal Academy of Engineering for the Exceptional Talent Scheme. He is also the recipient of two prestigious internal awards from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Imperial College, in addition to two external awards from the International Society of Automation (ISA). Mahdi has participated in multidisciplinary research projects, involving collaboration with overseas laboratories and pilot plants.
