Eng. degree in Information Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, in 2003, the M.Sc. degree in Microelectronics Systems Design from the University of Southampton, U.K., in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree from University College London (UCL), U.K., in 2008. From 2009 to 2011, he was a Research Associate with the Analogue and Biomedical Electronics Group, UCL. From 2011 to 2013, he was a lecturer with the School of Engineering and Design, Brunel University, U.K. He moved back to UCL in 2013 and is currently a Lecturer with the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.

He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers. He is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Biomedical and Life Science Circuits and Systems Technical Committee of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society.

My main research interests include:

  • Analogue and mixed-signal integrated circuit design
  • Biomedical circuits and systems
  • System-on-a-chip and microsystems
  • Microelectronic sensors
  • Wearable technologies

Prospective PhD students and Postdoctoral researchers who are interested in circuits design, microfabrication and sensor development, are encouraged to contact me by email. PhD scholarships are available from time to time. When contacting me, please attach a scanned copy of the academic transcripts and list all relevant research experience, such as publications and patents, in the CV.
