This degree covers a wide range of fundamental topics in the discipline of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. Through a mixture of theory and practical demonstrations, which include laboratory work, group coursework and a challenging personal project, students cover diverse subjects in the field including, power engineering, control theory, semiconductor devices as well as professional subject such as Corporate Finance and Project Management.

Third and fourth-year students choose options from a wide range of Electronic Engineering subjects and may select courses from other departments such as Computer Science, Management Science and Innovation (MS&I), and Medical Physics and Bioengineering.

All the degree programmes have a common first and second year which cover material fundamental to Electronic and Electrical Engineering. Students specialise in their third and fourth years according to individual degree programme and it is possible for students to switch between programmes (with the exception of the International Programme) at any time up to the end of their second year.
