'Inspirational' After School Clubs for Year 12 students

Tributes have been paid to the department's student society, the Fleming Society, who have run an exciting, engaging and inspiring engineering programme for around 30 Year 12 students from local schools across London over the last 6 months. The Society members, lead by Thomas Gilbert, volunteered their time to help teach Year 12 science and engineering students about PCB circuit design. Dr Sally Day and Dr Martyn Fice also provided excellent support through the entire programme.

Dr Elpida Makrygianni, Faculty of Engineering Sciences Education Developer said

"Congratulations on all your hard work for putting together such an exciting, engaging and inspiring engineering programme for Year 12 students across London. We could not be more proud of all of you."

Head of UCL Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Professor Alwyn Seeds praised the work of the Fleming Society, saying

"Warmest congratulations on this excellent initiative."
