UCL Open Day
The UCL Open day is a chance to see the whole college, attend talks by the admissions tutors and come into the department for a tour and some hands on activities in our laboratory. Further information about the UCL open day can be found here.
Come and spend a day in the Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department. Our Taster Course is open to all prospective undergraduate students who are interested in engineering and consists of talks and practical group activities in our laboratories. You will meet current students and have the opportunity to talk with lecturers. The programme is designed to provide you with first-hand experience of university life within an engineering field.
This event is aimed at prospective undergraduate students with an interest in Engineering. We particularly welcome students currently studying A-Level Maths and preferably Physics.
The Taster Course is free to attend, with a maximum of 120 places available and is held in the Roberts Building on the main UCL Bloomsbury campus. You can view a map here. We hold the course annually in July and the date for July 2014 will be announced in due course.
Bookings can be made through the University of London Taster Courses website
Please contact Lucy High if you have any further queries.
Shadow a Student
What is a day in the life of one of our students really like?
If you are considering studying Electronic and Electrical Engineering at UCL and would like to learn more about what it is like to study here, you can shadow one of our current students for a day, or part of a day.
Depending on when you come, this would give you an idea of what lectures, tutorials and lab sessions are like, and it is also a good opportunity to ask any questions you may have in an informal environment. The experience would be useful for prospective applicants as well as those who have already submitted their UCAS applications.
Visits can be arranged throughout most of the winter and spring terms (for current term dates click here), depending on the availability of our students.
Please contact Lucy High if you would like to arrange a visit and she will put you in touch with one of our current student volunteers.
