Yiannis (Ioannis) Andreopoulos
Professor of Data and Signal Processing Systems

 

Yiannis Andreopoulos has made major contributions to image/vision computing and large-scale multidimensional data analysis. In collaboration with industry, elements of his research in video processing systems have been integrated into commercial products. Author of 200+ papers, 15+ patents, 10+ contributions to standards.

Research interests: signal processing, video coding, machine learning, neural networks, error-tolerant computing, and wireless protocols for sensor networks.

Update (Dec. 2023):

In recent times, Yiannis Andreopoulos has spent some time seconded from UCL to work as CTO in iSIZE Ltd. Following the recent acquisition of iSIZE by Sony Playstation, he has been offered the role of Director of Machine Learning in Sony Playstation’s Future Technologies Group. He will remain a Visiting Academic at UCL. This page will not be maintained.
