Daniel Semrau

BiographyDaniel Semrau

Daniel Francis Semrau was born in Berlin, Germany, in 1990. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Technical University Berlin (TUB) in 2013. During his studies he worked as a student research assistant at TUB at the Institute of Photonics on nonlinearities in multimode fibres with Prof. Dr. K. Peterman. In 2015 he received an MSc in Photonics Networks Engineering from Aston University, Birmingham, UK and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy. Daniel conducted his master thesis on eigenvalue communication supervised by Prof. Dr. A. Maruta, at Osaka University, Japan. In December 2016 he joined he UCL Optical Networks Group, as a PhD student under the supervision of Professor Polina Bayvel.
