UCL BITE website launch

Promoting ICT research and exchange of information

A new website has been launched for the EPSRC funded UCL Breakthrough Information Technology Exchange (BITE) Impact Acceleration hub, which aims to place a greater commercial focus on much of UCL's world class research in the ICT area. You can view the new site including videos of BITE funded placements in industry including ARM, ublox, Balfour Beatty and Fibercore and live secondment openings in a range of companies, both large and small for current PhD and postdocs at UCL at

The hub hosts showcasing events featuring UCL’s research, as well as networking events for industry delegates. One of the primary activities of the hub is to facilitate and fund placements in industry for early career researchers. This enables them to develop their skills and strengthen links with companies through direct knowledge transfer. In addition, the hub runs a 3-day residential course aimed at encompassing business and entrepreneurship into doctoral training.

The hub is led by Professor Izzat Darwazeh of the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering and managed by a small steering group including members from the Department of Computer Science.
