Promotions and Fellowships
The work of a number of members of staff has recently been recognised with promotions or the awards of fellowships.
Congratulations to Miguel Rio and Yang Yang who have been promoted to Senior Lecturer and Karl Woodbridge who has been promoted to Reader. These promotions are with effect from October 1 2009. The promotions are a tribute to their excellent contributions in teaching and research.
Congratulations to Sir Mike Pepper, who has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to research on electron transport and THz technology.
Congratulations to Paul Warburton who has been awarded a five year EPSRC Leadership Fellowship, which provide support for talented researchers with the most potential to develop into the UK’s international research leaders.
Congratulations to Oleg Mitrofanov, who has been awarded a five year Royal Society University Research Fellowship which provide outstanding scientists, who should have the potential to become leaders in their chosen field, with the opportunity to build an independent research career.
