How to Change the World 2017

UCL EEE students at Global Grand Challenges Summit in Washington DC

4 undergraduate students from the department (Rami Chahine, Wojciech Chlupka, Dmitry Leyko and Duolikun Danier) have been participating in the Global Grand Challenges competition hosted by the Royal Academy of Engineering. They represented UCL at the student innovation competition in London back in April and qualified to represent UCL at the Global Grand Challenges Summit in Washington DC due to their success in the poster competition. During the Summit, Rami will also be taking part in the mini How to Change the World challenge, which is being run by the Head of Department of UCL Science Technology Engineering and Public Policy (UCL STEaPP), Dr Jason Blackstock. Students will be challenges to create a video/podcast on the engineering grand challenges: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/steapp/ggcs-how-to-change-the-world

Rami said “It is our pleasure to tell you that we will be representing UCL at the GGC summit starting July 17th. We are very pleased with this news!”
