Lecturer in Electronic Engineering

Fixed-term position for one year

Salary range from: Grade 7 £34,056- £37,396 per annum

(Inclusive of London Allowance of £2980 per annum)

The Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at UCL is recognised as one of the leading Departments for research in its subject area, worldwide. The Department wishes appoint a fixed term Lecturer in Electronic Engineering to cover the absence of a member of staff, who has been awarded a Royal Academy of Engineering / The Leverhulme Trust Senior Research Fellowship for 2017/18. The appointment is a fixed-term position for one year and must start no later than 1st October 2017, however it is anticipated that the successful candidate would be in place by the start of the First Term 2017, beginning Monday 25th September 2017.

For this appointment we particularly seek candidates with research experience in data and signal processing systems whose research is either within or complementary to our existing research activities in the Communications and Information Systems Group. We would expect the candidate to contribute to a range of teaching within the department and the faculty including but not limited to teaching signal processing modules at MSc level and control systems at undergraduate level.

Applicants should have a record of carrying out internationally leading research and an outstanding publications record. The ability to inspire students and research staff to achieve their full potential is also of great importance to us.
