EU Framework 5 Project LCOS4LCOS

Partners:

Thomson (F), Merck (G), Thales LCD (F), ATMEL (F), IMEC (B), UCL (GB)

Aims:

To design a low cost projection TV display including an innovative high illumination optical engine based on a single Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) chip.

By combining the director modelling, optical modelling and a commercial ray tracing simulation package the optical properties of the whole illumination, projection and optical engine system can be predicted.
