WEEK 22: 12/3//97: RESULTS:
UCL Zoology 1 V Computer Centre FC 3
No friends were made in this game as the two teams battled to take the top spot in the league. Either side started sluggishly and more contact was being made with each other than the ball. Ayling resembled an oil tanker who had trouble stopping as many ZOO players came away several inches thinner after an Ayling/Wall sandwich. All's fair in love and war as they say, and there was nothing malicious in either side's physical game. Hajisavvi put neatly put away a rebound and Ayling's speciality - a thundering shot took a deflection to off-set the 'keeper making the score 2 - 1 at half time.
ZOO stepped up a gear after the ends were swapped and amoungst the scrappiness they managed to string a few passes together. Unfortunately for them Heagney was on top form in goal for CCFC, making up for CCFC's now very slack marking. Banks continued to look threatening and ZOO's 'keeper, not to be out-done by his opposite number pulled off some wonderful saves. Suddenly CCFC calmed down and it was here that Hajisavvi grabbed the third to put the game beyond a battling ZOO.
