CCFC took charge of the table with a win over UCLH. The victory puts them 1 point clear above the Logica Bamboozlers. It was a more solid performance than the last few, where they had made hard work of victories where a little more thought could have been applied. CCFC took the lead after 2 minutes with Banks turned on the ball and placed the ball neatly across the goal into the far corner. UCLH nearly got an equaliser when a long shot caught Heagney off guard but it hit the post on 3 minutes. Two minutes later Ayling thumped a shot just wide and Hajisavvi took care of the rebound to make it 2 - 0. UCLH’s ‘keeper was having a good half until the 6th minute when he fumbled a cross and Hajisavvi skipped around him to make the half time score 3 - 0.

UCLH doubled the pressure after the break and CCFC’s defence - which had been somewhat questionable over the last few games held up well. A clearance from Ayling lead to Hajisavvi grabbing his hat-trick in the 9th minute. CCFC now pushed forward but UCLH broke up their attack to add their own contribution to the score line. Hajisavvi replied a minute later with some neat control and then slotted home under the ‘keeper. Walsh - now on for Banks finished off CCFC’s scoring in the same minute when he pummelled a loose ball in the back of the goal. UCLH’s midfielder made the score more respectable with a great goal from his own half. Hajisavvi looks back to his old form and is only 1 goal behind Walsh in the scorers table.

BAM kept themselves within breathing distance of CCFC in a topsy-turvy game. GEOG came closest first with a shot which hit the crossbar. BAM took the hint and in the 3rd minute worked a great goal with a pass which sent the ‘keeper the wrong way and Abbott slotted home. In the 4th minute BAM had a goal disallowed which went from post to post. A minute later Abbott took the ball aside the ‘keeper and scored. Abbott scored the second hat-trick of the day with a mirror image of his first goal.

GEOG grabbed an early goal in the second half as they broke clear and shot under the ‘keeper. Neither side made much of their possession apart from Abbott who drew a magnificent save from the GEOG ‘keeper after beating two players. The 12th and 13th minutes saw BAM score two more seemingly killing off the game but GEOG rallied to score two back leaving the final score at 5 - 3. The title could now be decided in a four pointer between BAM and CCFC which is fast approaching.
