CCFC returned to winning ways after their comprehensive defeat at the hands of ULU. With their top scorer Walsh out through a nasal injury CCFC looked to be in for another tougth time. The two sides rarley hand out goals between them and a strike from the half way line by Hajisavvi was all that divided the two on this occassion. Following the goal on 3 minutes SOBEK pushed foward and would haved leveled but for a double save from Heagney. Banks scuffed a shot when clean through to round up the first half's oportunity.
SOBEK fired on in the second half and forced Heagney into a great save from a powershot destined for the top right. Hajisavvi pushed his shot wide in the third minute after a quality dummy put him in acres of space. SOBEK's 'keeper finished of the game's highlights by just keeping a shot from Hajisavvi out with his toes after being sent the wrong way.
A tidy result from a potentially difficault fixture Keeps CCFC just one point ahead of BAM.
After watching CCFC's game BAM knew they had to deliver against an Accounts side with an outside chance of the championship. Two first half goals gave them the points in a game of contrasting halves. In the second minute a great four pass build up sent ACCS into disarray and a neat, if unintentional, stop on near the area set up a thunderous drive which Ambrose could do nothing about. Ambrose was not about to be miffed by an early upset in his new position and proved it the following minute. Abbott strike twice - the second as a result of a class turn to loose the defender and Ambrose match him with two outstanding saves. Sadly for ACCS BAM's dominance paid off in the sixth minute when Abbott first hit the post and then latched on to the loose ball to make it 2 - 0.
ACCS turned up the heat after the end's were swapped, the ball rarely left BAM's half. BAM hardly took their foot off the pedal - ACCS wouldn't allow it. The pick of the pressure came in the tenth minute when BAM's 'keeper saved from a man put clean through on goal. As well as the frame of the goal saving BAM's bacon as a half volley crashed against the bar and then the post. ACCS' solitary reply came in the twelth minute when BAM allowed the scorer far too much space and he punished them in the bottom left of goal.
(Walkover)
