A rather fortunate CCFC nearly saw a 5-2 advantage slip away into SOBEK'S hands but they managed to hold on in a testing match. SOBEK looked better than the scoreline during the match only Ayling and Heagney provided the protection much needed as Hajisavvi and Banks pushed the offensive. Banks turned in a fine performance - his best so far, which was a Godsend as Walsh had cried off with sickness before the match. Considering three of SOBEK's goals were scored by CCFC themselves it's a wonder they didn't do better. Hajisavvi and Banks claimed two a piece with Ayling scoring the other. Corden put in a late appearance but had little time to make an impression.
