WEEK 21: 5/3/97: RESULTS: UCL Zoology 5 V UCL Geography 3

A physical game saw ZOO come away with two hard earned points. The improvement in both teams over this season has been very impressive. Zoo were 3 - 1 up at half time but Geog came out fighting in the second half. But for all thier possesion it was still Zoo who added another to the scoresheet. Things were looking ominous for Zoo as Geog started to make some chances count and the score went to 4 - 3. Zoo dug in and pulled away with a late goal to clinch the points.

Logica Bamboozlers 2 V Senate House Operators 2

I had be the second ref for this one, so not many details. Ops are another team steadily improving their game, which could be put down to the re-emergence of Ray who put in one of the best individual performances this season. Bam were themselves Bamboozled by Ray for the entire first half no matter who much attention they paid to him. He finished a fine run with a cracking goal to start the scoring. Another Ops man made the score 2 -0 for half time.

Ops continued their pressing game after the interval but gradually BAM were finding thier feet. Despite the efforts of Ray BAM clawed back the goals to earn a well deserved draw. As the ref pointed out, a few more minutes and BAM could have pinched it.
