WEEK 36: 7/9/97: RESULTS:Sorry - I missed this one, I was told it was quite tight though. The rest of the reports are quite sparse as I had to ref them (boo, hiss, etc).
ZOO made themselves a bit of space for the third place spot against a SOBEK side who are looking for a fresh start next season. A physical game saw little being given away by either side except bruises in their abundance. SOBEK took the initiative the first half and looked the stronger side but ZOO battled away ever harder to take full points. A nice little warm up for next week's final me thinks.
BAM had a sting in their tail after the loss of the league to CCFC and an unorganised UCLH were on the receiving end. Abbott was on fire but a controlled fire as he distributed with great aplomb. UCLH's frenetic play allowed BAM to easily clock up a 5 - 0 lead by half time with chances to spare, to UCLH's credit their heads didn't droop in the face of such an onslaught.
It was UCLH who scored first after the break during their first piece of organised play. This new form of order greatly reduced BAM's shooting oportunities, unfortunately for UCLH, BAM took what chances they had and added a further four goals with only one more in reply. A solid performance and BAM might be forgiven for thinking 'If only....'
