Sorry, no report on this one. I got dragged out of the sick bay into goal!

In the first of two results that will please CCFC, ULU looked slightly jaded but also had to contend with Cummings - goalkeeper extroadinaire.
Brandon scored his 14th of the season to open affairs. His fre-kick was blasted off the wall, across goal into the far corner. ULU applied some pressure in response, but Cummings pulled off two wonderful saves to deny them. It could last forever though, Tassell stopped the ball and hit it off the crossbar and in. The ball was refusing to leave the centre area in the forth minute and a drop ball followed two players falling over. Dermas won the ball and with his next touch sent it low under an un-awares strawbridge. Ferrell scored a beauty when he cut inside the defender to unleash a shot from the outside of his right boot into the top right. In the same sixth minute Parsons restored ZOO's lead with another small run from his own area and smash from the half way line.
A warning at half time to the players about use of the sliding tackle was given. ZOO soon set about increasing their lead when Brandon coaxed the ball behind himself for the oncoming Wood to blast home. Wood had replaced Dermas at half time. Parsons then added his name to the top-scorers chart when he scored yet another of the goals I'm beginning to grow bored of writing about (IAN!). The last five minutes saw no further goals but Cummings continued to deny ULU, most notably a half volley from Tassell. Ferrell was booked in the sixth minute after breaking the rule the ref had reminded them of at half time. I've heard there's a competetion within ULU of top scorer. It's noticable the amount of holding on to the ball went on today, this could affect their title aspirations.
ULU: Strawbridge, Avery, Ferrell, Tassell
ZOO: Cummings, Brandon, Dermas (Wood), Parsons
A heated affair saw GEOG swap places in the league with their opponents. Montieth put GEOG ahead with a free kick that hit post and then the keeper knocked it in for what was almost his first of the season. BIRK equallised when Kettle won the ball and Brown put it past Kernian in the bottom left before he could position himself. Kernian twice stopped Birk taking the lead a minute later when he saved both the initail shot and the rebound. A frustrated Kettle then got booked for disent to make both himself and Card unavailable for BIRK's next two matches. Rose set up Montieth to put GEOG ahead again and to give Montieth his first goal of the season. He added one of his own a minute later when he turned on Montieth's pass.
Clarke made his debut for BIRK when he replaced Burgis at half time. He scored the second half's only goal when he put away a penalty. It was given for entering the goalie's area to gain an advantage. Dobbinson added his name to the ever growing bookings list and can count himself in the suspended players list.
BIRK: Phalp, Brown, Burgis (Clark), Kettle
GEOG: Kernian, Dobbinson, Montieth, Rose
