Norma L. Miller

Norma L. Miller obtained her PhD in Information and Knowledge Society from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Spain, in the area of Technology-Enhanced Learning. Her doctoral research explored the acquisition of skill in computer-mediated concept mapping by Panamanian schoolteachers. She also holds an MSc in Mathematics from Northwestern University. Since 2002, she has been on the faculty of the Mathematics Department of the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá. Her current research interests include peer observation, difficulties in teaching and learning of calculus, threshold concepts in mathematics and education, and peer instruction.
